The competition is a written test of 60 minutes duration comprising of objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions. Each correct answer carries one mark.

Who all are eligible to sit for the NSO?
Students of classes 1st to 12th are eligible to appear for the NSO. There is no other eligibility criterion like minimum marks. The top 5% internationally ranked students class wise, the school toppers from each class (with minimum 10 students enrolled from particular class) and ten state toppers class wise are eligible to appear in the 2nd level exam.
